1. Nutrition: Consistent scheduling. Keep your body fueled at all times to maintain energy and blood sugar. Low blood sugar makes it difficult to focus and stay on task. Keep a consistent eating schedule by setting a timer on your phone to remind you to eat when our body needs food not just when our body says we are hungry. Do not skip meals! Skipping meals will lead to dropped blood sugar, which equals a lack of focus. What to eat: pick natural one ingredient foods, omega 3 foods, rich colored vegetables, protein rich foods. Hydration: 75 percent of our brain is water. You have to hydrate yourself to think faster and be more focused.
2. Movement: When we exercise it increases the blood flow to the brain and improves cognitive function. Decreases burn out that is caused from sitting too much. It also releases the endorphins which improve our moods. Being happy greatly improves work productivity.
3. Boundaries: We need to take time and stop working and worrying about work and life. Turn your brain off at times by making a dedicated work space in your house. That is where you work, everywhere else in your house is your home where your brain is allowed to focus on other things. You need to give yourself permission to take breaks. Setting proper boundaries will help to prevent burnout.
